Directions from Brown to other area colleges and universities
To I-95:
From the Admission Office, proceed down Angell Street to the third traffic light (after the river); turn right at the light; after the second traffic light are the entrances to I-95 North and South.
To I-93/Route 128:
From the Admission Office proceed to I-95, take I-95 North 30 miles to the junction of I-95/Route 128/I-93, the beltway around Boston. Bear let and I-95 North/Route 128W takes you west/north toward New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont; bear right and I-93/Route 128E takes you east/north of Boston.
Amhest College (Amherst, MA):

Take I-95 North to Route 146 North. Follow Route 146 North to Route 20 West (left exit). Take Route 20 West to I-90 (Mass Turnpike); follow the Turnpike west, take Exit 4 and follow signs to I-91 North. Once on I-91 North, take Exit 19 (Northampton), turn right at end of ramp and take Route 9 East to Amherst and the campus.
Boston University (Boston, MA):

Follow directions to I-93, bear right on the beltway toward Boston (I-93/Route 128E will become I-93/Route 3N). Pass downtown Boston and exit left onto Storrow Drive (Exit 26). Continue on Storrow Drive and take the Kenmore Exit. At the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto Beacon Street. At this point, the road forks (do not for right onto Bay State Road), take the left fork into Kenmore Square; in the Square,in the Square, bear right onto Commonwealth Avenue.

Take I-95 South to Connecticut Exit 84N (Route 34 North); proceed to second light and turn left into the main campus entrance.
Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH):

Follow directions to I-93, bear left toward Dedham on I-95/Route 128N. Take exit for I-93 North towards New Hampshire. Take exit for I-89 North. Take the Route 120 exit, turn right. Travel north on Route 120 towards Hanover. Bear right at light (staying on Route 120), turn left at the next light. Dartmouth College Green is on the right.

Take I-95 North to Route 146 North. Follow Route 146 to Route 20 West (left exit). Take Route 20 West to I-90 (Mass Turnpike); follow the Turnpike west, take Exit 4 and follow signs to I-91 North. Once on I-91N take Exit 19 (Northampton), turn right at end of ramp and take Route 9 East into Amherst. At the town center turn right onto Route 116 and drive south three miles to Hampshire College. (An alternate route to the college is posted at the intersection of Routes 9 and 47.)

Follow directions to I-93, bear left toward Dedham on I_95/Route 128N to I-90 (Mass Turnpike): follow the Turnpike east. Take Exit 18 (Cambridge). Follow signs to Cambridge; you will come to a set of lights, go straight through lights. Stay in the left lane, cross over the bridge to Memorial Drive and go through three sets of lights. At the third set, take a right on JFK Street; after the third set of lights you will be in the middle of Harvard Square.

Take I-95 North to Route 146 North. Follow Route 146 North to Route 20 West (left exit). Take Route 20 West to Route I-90 (Mass Turnpike); follow the Turnpike west, take Exit 5 (Holyoke/Chicopee) and bear to the right. At the end of the ramp, turn left on Route 33 and drive five miles to Route 116. Turn right onto Route 116 and drive approximately 1.5 miles north to the College.

Take I-95 North to Exit 23 (State Offices); bear right off the ramp, at the fork in the road, bear right onto Douglas Avenue. Proceed for approximately one mile and turn left on Eaton Street. Providence College is located on the right at the second traffic light.

Take I-95 North to Route 146 North. Follow 146 North to Route 20 West (left exit). Take Route 20 West to I-90 (Mass Turnpike); follow the Turnpike west, take Exit 4 and follow signs for I-91 North. Once on I-91N, take Exit 18, and follow Route 9 through three sets of traffic lights; shortly after the third set of lights turn left onto College Lane. The Office of Admission is on your right, overlooking Paradise Pond. Parking is available next to the office and along Route 9.

Follow directions to I-93, bear left on I-95/Route 128N toward Dedham. Take Exit 29A (Route 2) and follow Route 2 East to Route 16. Turn left onto Route 16 East, proceed through two traffic lights, take a sharp right turn onto Potter House Boulevard and continue past two traffic lights to next intersection with blinking yellow lights. Turn left onto Packard Avenue. Continue straight uphill to the visitor parking area.

Take I-95 South to Connecticut Route 9 North; take Exit 15 onto Washington Street. (Route 66 West); turn left onto High Street – you have reached the campus.

Take I-95 North to Route 146 North. Follow Route 146 to Route 20 West (left exit). Take Route 20 West to I-90 (Mass Turnpike); follow the turnpike west to Lee Exit (Route 20 North). Follow Route 20 to Route 7 North, follow Route 7 North into Williamstown. By the Williams Inn, bear right on Route 2 East towards North Adams. Admission Office is one block ahead on the left.
University of Massachusetts at Amherst

Once on I-91 North, take Exit 19 (Northampton), turn right at end of ramp and take Route 9 East to Amherst. Continue on Route 9 East (bearing right), to Route 116, approximately 4.5 Miles. Turn left onto Route 116 North and proceed to “UMASS” exit. Make a right, and follow signs to the Visitors Center.
