Visit Brown

The best way to get to know Brown is to see it for yourself.

Directed by enthusiastic undergraduate students, our campus tours are a popular and fun introduction to Brown’s campus, classrooms and facilities. Our student guides will encourage you to ask questions about all aspects of life on campus and will not hesitate to describe their own experiences as a Brown undergraduate. Designed for prospective applicants and their families, the tours will provide you with an earnest perspective of the scholastic and social life at Brown.

Tours originate from the admission office and individual reservations are not necessary. Groups of 20 or more must call the Visiting Group Coordinator at (401) 863-2378 to reserve a day and time. For more information about group reservations, click here.

Physical Science Tours and Upcoming Events

Physical Sciences Tour: In addition to our general campus tour we also offer a more in-depth tour for students interested in studying the Physical Sciences. This tour will include information about Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics departments. While visiting Sciences Park we will discuss opportunities for research and interdisciplinary projects, access to technology and labs, collaboration with faculty, and hear first hand accounts of what it is like to study the sciences at Brown. Since this tour is a more in-depth look at the Physical Sciences at Brown it may be beneficial to go to our information session or general campus tour prior to attending this tour. Consult the dates here for exact Physical Science Tour dates, times, and locations as they are subject to change.

Information Sessions

Tours last an hour and usually precede or follow an hour long group information session. Information sessions are led by an admission officer and will cover a variety of topics including financial aid, application procedures as well as details of academic and campus life. These group sessions afford visitors another opportunity to have their questions answered in an informal setting.

A regular schedule of weekday tours and information sessions are offered during much of the year. The tour schedule can vary greatly from month to month so be sure to call us or check the web site for an updated schedule. Additional Saturday tours are added in the fall.

Visitors with Disabilities
Visitors using a wheelchair or who are otherwise physically impaired are advised to stop in at the Admission Office prior to the information session or call ahead (401-863-2378) to inquire about and/or arrange for special accomodations.
