Brown Muslim Student Association to Sponsor FAST-A-THON, Saturday, October 14

The Brown Muslim Student Association (BMSA) is inviting non-Muslims in the Brown community to fast this Saturday, October 14, while raising money for victims of devastating floods in India this summer. About 4.5 million people have been left homeless without basic necessities, and the BMSA is raising funds to help relief efforts in that country. In the spirit of Ramadan, the association is particularly interested in making more members of the Brown community aware of this cause.

BMSA is asking all participants, Muslim and non-Muslim, to register for the Fast-a-Thon, collect donations, and fast this Saturday. At 6:00 p.m., all will gather for the Iftar dinner and a reception at Arnold Lounge (Keeney). The program will feature former BMSA member David Coolidge.
