ORGAN RECITAL, Sayles Hall, The College Green

"North and South: From the Renaissance to the 20th Century, from Northern Europe to Italy."

Featuring the distinguished organist Claudio Astronio of Bolzano, Italy, who will play works by Pärt, Morandi, Frescobaldi, de Macque, Hassler, Dünser, Mendelssohn, and others. An award-winning performer, Astronio gives concerts throughout Europe and the United States on both the organ and the harpsichord. He is also the conductor of the ancient instrument ensemble, Harmonices Mundi, which studies and performs Italian and German instrumental music from the 1500s to the 1700s.
