Equipment List

Please be very conservative in packing: bring only what you really need, and leave the rest at home. There is very limited space on the program van and in the rooms where we are staying.

1. Sleeping Bag, sleeping pad and pillow

2. Clothing

Shorts- great to have a couple of quick dry, nylon shorts
T-shirts
1-2 pair long pants
Long sleeve shirt
Sleep wear
Underwear
Socks
Bathing suit
Beach towel
Rain jacket-lightweight
Fleece jacket or wool sweater
Hat-preferably something that will give you good sun protection
Sturdy hiking shoes (don’t need boots)
Water shoes-reef shoes or something that will give you good protection on beaches that have sharp volcanic material….this is not a soft, white sandy beach

3. Other items

Blank journal
Flashlight
Sun block-SPF 30
Bug repellent
Toothpaste, toiletries
Water bottle- drink lots of water on the plane!
A day pack
Camera (optional)
Binoculars (optional)
Any medications that you might need- bring extra in case your flight is delayed, and travel with them in your carry on luggage
