The Scholar-Athlete Program is open to any student who has completed the 9th grade, as long as they meet course and admission requirements. Applying students should have a high school 3.0 GPA or above.

How to Apply

Use the standard Pre-College application procedures outlined below. Select the course as your first choice, then choose one of the following as your second choice:

SWIM-1C: Swimming

Applying to Summer@Brown is easy. A complete application consists of four items:

1) An Application (on-line or PDF Download)
2) A Teacher's Recommendation (PDF Download)
3) A complete official high school transcript which must include your most recent grade report.
4) The application fee (see below). International students: Because of the difficulty and expense of forwarding money internationally, we will waive the application fee until after an admission review.

Please note: We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment.

Please note that all Leadership Institute courses require an essay along wih the four items listed above.

You do not need to send all of the items at once. Once we have received your complete application, our admission committee will review it and make a decision within ten days. You will be notified of the decision by email. We do not read incomplete applications, so check with your school to be sure your recommendations and transcripts were actually sent to us. Financial Aid

The March 7th deadline to apply for the Dean’s Scholarship has passed.

Each year, limited financial aid is available on a first-come, first-served basis, to high school students who have demonstrated financial need. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States and have submitted a complete application by the deadline.

Our scholarship fund is limited. As a result, we cannot guarantee that all students who apply before the deadline will receive aid. Awards are made until the funds are depleted. We encourage students to apply as early as possible.
