Brown Students
To register, visit: https://selfservice.brown.edu (choose the Summer 2008 term)
Summer pre-registration will take place from April 1 – April 17.
For more information on these programs, please visit our homepage and select the particular course of interest to you.
Brown Students
Students are urged to pre-register (Tuesday, April 1 to Thursday, April 17) as courses may be canceled due to low enrollment. Registering early is especially important if you plan to enroll in a limited-enrollment course. As of April 30, students will again be allowed to register for summer courses.
RISD Students
Complete the online enrollment form and indicate that you are a RISD student.
Visiting Undergraduates
Undergraduates and graduate students who are matriculated at other four-year colleges or universities are welcome to apply for admission to the Brown Summer Session. Students must be in good standing at their institutions.
How to Apply
Complete the online enrollment form and send an up-to-date transcript (one that includes Fall 2007 grades) to the Office of Summer and Continuing Studies.

Students from non-English-speaking countries must also submit copies of TOEFL scores.
Admission decisions are made based on the applicant's academic records and his/her standing at the college where degree work is being pursued. Other records or references in addition to the transcript may be requested.
Applicants will be notified promptly of admission decisions.
Admission to the Summer Session is not linked to admission to Brown for degree purposes. Any student wishing to apply to Brown for admission (first year or transfer) should request application materials from the:
