You will receive a confirmation from the Office of Summer and Continuing Studies in late May and again the week of June 11th. You will receive a Balance Due statement from the Bursar during the second week of classes.
If you wish to add or drop a course, housing or meal plan, you may do so by stopping by the Office of Summer and Continuing Studies or the Registrar’s Office to pick up a Summer Add/Drop form. Forms must be submitted in person to our office at 42 Charlesfield Street, 4th floor. Students adding a course June 23 – June 25, must have the instructor sign their Add form.
Undergraduate Summer Session Refunds
Students who withdraw from summer courses on or before the third day of classes (June 25) will receive a full refund of all fees except room and board (see below.) Students who withdraw on the fourth or fifth day of classes (June 26/27) will receive a refund of 80 percent of course fees. Students who withdraw during the second week of classes (June 30 - July 3) will receive a 50% refund of course fees. Other fees and charges (e.g. laboratory and enrollment fees) are non-refundable after the third day (June 25). Students who withdraw after the last day of the second week (July 3) are not eligible to receive a refund of any fees.
Housing & Meals
Students who drop housing or meal plans during the first week of the session (June 23-27) will receive a standard refund of $1,100 for a room, and $890 for meals. No refunds for housing or meals will be given after Friday, June 27, 2008.
On-campus housing for the Undergraduate Summer Session will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis for students enrolled in Summer school courses. Undergraduate Summer Session Housing will begin on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 12 noon and end on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 12 noon. We anticipate housing to be in Young Orchard Apartments which are configured as four single-bedrooms with a shared kitchen, bathroom and a common room. Housing is subject to change.
Check-in for housing will be held in the Office of Residential Life, 27 Brown Street, in South Wayland House on Sunday, June 22, 2008 between 12 noon and 5pm. If you are unable to check-in on this day you will be able to pick up keys on Monday, June 23rd from 8am - 4pm or Tuesday, June 24th from 8am - 4pm in the Office of Residential Life. No room requests will be considered prior to check-in. During check-in all students who wish to live together should plan to arrive at the same time and we will do our best to accommodate you. Upon checking in students will receive room keys and card access. |
