Pre-Registration, Sophomore advising
Dear first-year students,
- Pre-reg -
Pre-registration begins for first-years on Thursday, April 19, at 8 a.m. If you haven’t already, see your advisor before then to talk about course selection and get your PIN; and don’t forget to check in with your Meiklejohn!
- Speaking of Meiklejohns, here’s the “Tip of the Week” -
If you’re looking at any capped courses for next semester, consider emailing the professor now to enhance your chances of getting a spot in the class.
- Sophomore advising -
This past Monday we sent you a special email regarding advising for next year. Go to http://apps.college.brown.edu/sophomore_advisor_request/ to indicate your choice of sophomore advisor. If you don’t want to continue with your current advisor and aren’t sure where to turn, come see an academic dean or a Randall advisor in drop-in hours. You must confirm a sophomore advisor before leaving campus or your registration will be blocked when you return in the fall.
Deans: Monday through Friday from 10 to 4 in University Hall, 1-4 at Advising Central
Randalls: Designated times at Advising Central: http://brown.edu/college/advising_central/calendar/
- Teaching and Advising Awards -
The UCS Academics and Administrative Affairs committee is hosting the annual Teaching and Advising Awards on Thursday, April 26th from 12-1pm, and they need your help. They want to collect as many nominations as possible, so use this link to nominate your favorite professor, advisor, or teaching assistant. Responses will be collected until Tuesday, April 17th.
