Beth Taylor has mentored nonfiction writers for 30 years. A former journalist, she has published essays about teaching, writing, and the Vietnam War era. Her recent book is The Plain Language of Love and Loss: A Quaker Memoir. She has advised freshmen, sophomores, English concentrators, writers, and walk-ins of all stripes at Brown for fifteen years.
