IC Proposal

Proposal Deadlines:
The Independent Concentration Committee, which reviews each proposal, meets six times during the school year. Submission deadlines are the first day of the month in September, October, November, February, March, and April.

Once you have a faculty sponsor and a topic, you can begin thinking about writing your independent concentration proposal. The proposal should be 3-5 pages in length and make a compelling case that the proposed project merits independent concentration status. Explain why the project cannot be completed through an existing concentration and how the proposed set of courses constitutes a coherent idea or area of study. The proposal must also include an annotated list of courses, an annotated bibliography, and a description of your final project.
