Living in New York City
Group living is a fundamental component of the UES experience – participants live together at the 92nd Street Y's de Hirsch Residence, located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, three blocks from Central Park and the Museum Mile.
The de Hirsch provides fully furnished, air conditioned single and double rooms with shared bathrooms, weekly maid service, kitchens and laundry rooms on each floor, and 24-hour security. The residence also offers free or reduced admissions to many of the Y’s concerts and lectures, while UES subsidizes full access to the Y’s gymnasium.
