Zohar Atkins '10 wins the Rhodes

The Dean of the College Office is thrilled to announce that Zohar Atkins '10 has been awarded a Rhodes scholarship.  A dual concentrator in classics and Judaic studies, Atkins is simultaneously pursuing a master's degree in history as part of Brown's concurrent four-year bachelors/masters program.  Atkins plans to pursue a DPhil in Theology at Oxford.  He is one of 32 American scholars selected out of 805 endorsed applicants from 326 different universities. This is the second consecutive year that a Brown student has won the prestigious award.  Rakim Brooks '09 received the scholarship last year and is currently pursuing his studies at Oxford. 

Brown among top U.S. producers of Fulbrights

Brown ranks third among research universities in the country and the first among the Ivies in the number of Fulbright fellowships awarded for 2009-2010 according to data announced by the Fulbright program yesterday.  Brown had 29 Fulbright winners last year, the highest number in its history. The success of the top producing institutions is highlighted in the October 19, 2009 edition of The Chronicle of Higher Education.  

F@B Presents The Third Annual Fellowship Fair!

The third annual Fellowship Fair at Brown is designed to provide an opportunity for students, faculty, and administrators to learn about the many research and fellowship opportunities available to undergraduates at Brown. Former winners as well as faculty and administrators will present information and be available to answer questions about individual fellowship opportunities, including requirements, application processes, selection criteria, funding, and long-term benefits.

Goldwater Scholarship and Churchill Scholarship Information Session
