Emma Clippinger '09 wins Echoing Green Fellowship!

Emma Clippinger ’09 of Cambridge, MA and Yale College graduate Julie Carney of Princeton, NJ have received an Echoing Green Fellowship in support of Gardens for Health International.  Currently working in Rwanda, Gardens for Health seeks to curb malnutrition among HIV-patients through community gardening.  Echoing Green, perhaps the most prestigious funding agency for social entrepreneurship in the country, will provide up to $90,000 over two years to Clippinger and Carney.  Echoing Green received nearly 1,000 applications, with Gardens for Health International earning one of just 14 spots.  “Receiving an Echoing Green Fellowship had always been the dream and we are so fortunate to become part of the Echoing Green community as we take Gardens for Health to the next stage,” said Clippinger.
