Individual Tutoring

Free one-on-one tutoring is available for undergraduates who are experiencing academic difficulty and who are at risk of earning a grade of "C" or below in a course. Except for students in introductory and intermediate language courses, students who wish to apply for individual tutoring for a specific course must be participating in group tutoring for that course, if it is offered.

Students who wish to apply for individual tutoring should fill in Section A; print it out, and bring it to the course instructor or teaching assistant to complete Section B. Completed application forms may be delivered to J. Walter Wilson, room 213C, inside the Writing Center. Applications are reviewed by the Academic Support Committee and students will be notified of the name of their tutor as soon as one is assigned. This process may take up to one week or longer if there isn't a qualified tutor available.
