Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship

 

Purpose:

To produce leaders in Emergency Ultrasound

 

Duration:

1 year

 

Fellowship Eligibility:

Four-year residency or a three-year residency with >1 postgraduate years

ABEM BC/BE

 

Components:

Scanning shifts with core faculty

Academic research and publication

Video review, QA, bi-weekly journal club

Standard and advanced EUS applications

Time with ED-based ultrasound techs, OB/Gyn techs & vascular lab techs

Bedside teaching & training of medical students/residents

Lectures/training for other services (ICUs, Medicine, OBGyn, Peds EM)

Courses for community and academic physicians

Completion of minimum of 600 scans

RDMS preparatory course

Combined census of >210,000 patient visits per year

Level-I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center
