Brown University will honor the achievements of its faculty at its annual academic convocation at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in Sayles Hall. The entire Brown community is invited to attend. James Head III, the Louis and Elizabeth Scherck Distinguished Professor of Geological Sciences, will deliver the keynote address, "The New Millennium: Exploration of Space, Time and Perception."
The program features the presentation of faculty who have received teaching awards, newly appointed holders of endowed and named professorships, and faculty emeriti. President Gregorian will deliver the opening and closing remarks.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Jesse Antin '99 and L. Frederick Jodry, director of the Brown University Chorus.
