Memorial week for police officers

A memorial service honoring Joseph Doyle, a campus police officer who died in 1988 in the line of duty, will be held on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, Wednesday, May 15. The service begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Police and Security office, 75 Charlesfield St.

In addition, during National Police Week May 12-18, members of the department will be flying blue ribbons on the antennas of their vehicles. The ribbon is an expression of support for law enforcement officers and those who have given their lives in the line of duty.
