A: You don't need one! Showing your Brown Card to the local vendors listed on this web site is enough. Some vendors require a specific member ID that is exclusive to Brown community members.
Q: Who can answer questions about each discount?
A: In most cases, contacting the vendor directly is the best way to get specific information regarding the discount offered.

Q: What is Working Advantage?
A: Working Advantage is a leading savings program providing discounts to more than 5,500 organizations nationwide. Membership allows Brown faculty, staff, and students to enjoy discounts to hotels, movie theaters, ski resorts, Broadway shows, museums, and much more! There is no membership fee to participate and Working Advantage allows users to create and manage their individual accounts and orders.
Q: How do faculty, staff, and students sign up for Working Advantage?
A: Brown already subscribes to the Working Advantage program so signing up is not necessary. To access the discount program, however, you may register online to receive the extensive discounts and benefits available.
Q: What if I don't have a computer to access the Working Advantage web site?
A: No problem....just call the Working Advantage toll free number at 1-800-565-3712 to place your order. The Working Advantage Customer Service department will help you Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Q: Will I receive unsolicited phone calls or emails once I have placed an order with Working Advantage?
A: No. Working Advantage has a strict privacy policy and does not share any employee information. Faculty, staff, and students will be given the option, however, of signing up for email notification on specific discount programs (i.e. sporting events, Broadway shows).
Q: How does Working Advantage guarantee the security of my credit card and personal information?
A:
Working Advantage uses secure socket layers (SSL) technology to protect your security and privacy. Their order form is on a secure server and all personal and credit card information is encrypted when ordering.
Q: How often do you update the discounts offered to Brown community members?
A: Frequently! As new discounts are negotiated, they will be added to the Bear Bargains web site. Bookmark this site and visit often!
