B.E.A.R. Day
Brown Employee Appreciation and Recognition (B.E.A.R.) Day is a community celebration of years of service and performance excellence at Brown University. President Ruth Simmons invites all members of the Brown community to celebrate the ongoing achievements of staff at an hors d'oeuvres reception at the Olney-Margolies Athletic Center in early February. Board the Polar B.E.A.R. Express shuttle and join us for this fun event!
Recipients of both the Excellence Awards and Years of Service Awards will be featured in a short video highlighting their achievements.
The goals of B.E.A.R. Day are:
- To celebrate accomplishments that reflect sustained, superior performance and contribute to the mission of the University and the Plan for Academic Enrichment
- To inspire excellence and showcase standards of performance that reflect the values of Brown University
- To recognize and celebrate the dedication and commitment of Brown University staff
