When an Employee Leaves
Overview
Although numerous employees find their life-long careers at Brown, every year there are some who leave for other jobs, educational opportunities, relocations, or any number of reasons. This section of the Manager's Toolkit provides employees with resources about the University's practices, policies and guidelines on the termination of employment at Brown.
Employees saying goodbye to Brown are strongly encouraged to fill out an exit interview form and/or meet with Human Resources. An exit interview gives the employee an opportunity to discuss their experiences at Brown upon leaving, and it provides the University with useful information and insight into employee worklife trends.
If you have questions about leaving Brown, employees are strongly encouraged to speak and meet with a Human Resources Generalist by contacting 3-3175 to make an appointment or stop by the Human Resources Employment Services Office in the Brown Office Building.
