President Simmons to welcome Donald C. Eversley back to Providence
Brown President Ruth J. Simmons will host a reception to welcome Brown alumnus Donald C. Eversley back to Providence as president of the Providence Economic Development Partnership. Gov. Donald L. Carcieri and Mayor David N. Cicilline will also attend. The reception, by invitation only, begins at 5:30 p.m. in the John Carter Brown Library. PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Brown President Ruth J. Simmons will host a reception today at 5:30 p.m. in the John Carter Brown Library, welcoming Brown alumnus Donald C. Eversley on his return to Providence. Eversley, a 1980 graduate in psychology and Afro-American studies, has been named president of the Providence Economic Development Partnership. Gov. Donald L. Carcieri and Mayor David N. Cicilline will attend to help introduce Eversley to community and business leaders, elected state and city officials, and the University community. The reception is open only to invited guests. Press are welcome to attend. In addition to his Brown undergraduate degree, Eversley holds a
J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. An accomplished attorney
in corporate and private practices, he comes to Providence from the Bronx
Overall Economic Development Corporation (BOEDC), where he served as director of
