From Martha Mitchell’s Encyclopedia Brunoniana: Gerontology Center The Gerontology Center was established in 1985. Based in the Division of Biology and Medicine, the Center is devoted to research and education. The research program is concerned with the health and social service needs of older people. The educational program consists of an undergraduate concentration and a graduate program in the Department of Community Health, a postdoctoral fellowship in gerontology and geriatrics, and instruction in clinical geriatrics for medical students.
