St. Petersburg- Language and Culture
The opportunities are endless with Brown’s St. Petersburg program. Join us for an international experience, which is critical in an increasingly global world and central to Brown's mission. In its fifth year, Brown Professors, Svetlana Evdokimova and Vladimir Golstein, will offer an intensive language program coupled with extensive exposure to culture and art. Whether you are an art history major interested in beginning Russian and expanding your coursework in a global context or you are an intermediate or advanced Russian student intent on furthering your language proficiency, this program will meet your needs. Spend seven weeks with Brown at the Nevsky institute, enjoying one of the most beautiful cities in the world, living with local families, and taking advantage of the local museums and historic landmarks. Language classes will be complemented by afternoon field visits, key speakers, and lectures. In addition to afternoon field visits during the week, there will be weekend excursions and activities centered around famous palaces and parks in St. Petersburg's suburbs. Receive two Brown academic credits, live in St. Petersburg, visit Moscow, and explore Russia in just seven weeks.
