Brown in Sweden - Academics
Curriculum
The Swedish Program students are registered undergraduates at Stockholm University. Students enroll in courses arranged for the program and courses taught in English at the University of Stockholm. The program has an interdisciplinary emphasis and is concerned with comparative analysis, especially of the Scandinavian and European regions. In addition to courses taught in English, students are required to study Swedish. Excursions and study visits to area organizations augment the academic aspects of the program.
Course Requirements and Structure
All courses, except the Swedish language course, are taught in English. Students take four courses each semester. Among the curriculum's strengths are public policy, sociology, film, literature, political philosophy, women's studies and language studies.
