Brown in the United Kingdom - Admission

Admission Requirements

Students must be juniors in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher) and have a strong academic background in their fields of study (3-4 courses previously taken in your field). The program is currently open to Brown undergraduates only.

 

NOTE: Cambridge University requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75 and a strong background in relevant subjects to be considered for admission. Please review Navigating the Oxbridge System.

King's College London requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 to be considered for admission.

London School of Economics requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 to be considered for admission. If you are applying to departments or predominantly listing courses that are quantitatively based (i.e. economics, accounting and finance, mathematics and statistics). LSE is typically looking for a 3.5 or better in related courses, including higher level calculus and linear algebra.

Oxford University requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and a strong background in relevant subjects to be considered for admission. Please review Navigating the Oxbridge System.

University College London normally expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3, but some departments expect at least 3.5 and a good background in relevant subjects.

Pembroke College, Cambridge awards one Brown student each year with its Roger Williams Scholar position. The Roger Williams Scholar will be admitted as a visiting student and will receive:

  • a room in the historic part of the college
  • an invitation to the Annual Scholars Dinner
  • loan of a college gown (required at formal hall)
  • book certificate worth £120

All applicants to Pembroke Cambridge will be automatically considered for this opportunity. No additional application is necessary.
