Black Lavender 2 is a groundbreaking exhibition profiling the history of gay black men in Rhode Island, from 1919 to the present, through photographs, printed materials and artifacts. Funded by the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities, the exhibition will be on view through Friday, January 8, 2010 at the John Hay Library, 20 Prospect St. Viewing hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
