Congressman Kennedy Visits Brown

On Monday, December 15, 2008 Representative Patrick Kennedy visited campus to meet with various departments. The Congressman first met with Marion Orr, Director of Brown's Taubman Center for Public Policy. He then took a tour of Sidney Frank Hall's MRI facility led by Dean of the Warren Alpert Medical School, Ed Wing. During the tour he spoke with John Donoghue, Director of the Brain Science Program, John Davenport, Associate Director of the Bio-Med Institute for Brain Science, and Jerome Sanes, Professor of Neuroscience, about research taking place on campus. Finally Representative Kennedy met with Ross Levine, Professor of Economics, to discuss the current economic climate.
