About The Associate Provost

Nancy Dunbar works with faculty, academic departments and administrative departments to provide reports and analyses necessary for strategic planning and institutional decision making, and is responsible for developing and overseeing mechanisms of institutional assessment at the department and program level. She oversees external reviews of academic departments, centers, institutes and programs; coordinates external reviews with internal graduate program and undergraduate concentration reviews; and assists department chairs and center and institute directors in preparing for reviews and developing self-studies and strategic plans.

Nancy provides leadership on the development and management of academic information systems. She works closely with the Provost, academic deans, students and faculty to identify and prioritize enhancements to the Banner student information system that support the University’s teaching and research mission, and to define data requirements that are necessary for academic planning. She is the Provost’s office liaison to CIS and other offices on matters of academic computing.
