Document Destruction (Shredding) Suppliers
In order to adhere to Brown’s policies on protecting confidential information, hiring a shredding company must be done using the purchase order system and using one of the approved vendors listed below.

Working in coordination with the University’s Chief Information Security Officer and the Office of Internal Audit Services, Purchasing has identified the following approved suppliers for document destruction services:

These
companies meet NAID (National Association for Information Destruction)
standards and University policies for handling confidential information.
Requests to use document destruction companies other than those
listed above will be referred to the Chief Information Security Officer
for consideration.
Requests
for exceptions to this University policy must be made in advance of
using the service so that the company can be approved by the Chief
Information Officer. Request for exceptions can be emailed: James_McCurdy@Brown.edu.
