Concentration Requirement

General Information

Concentration Evaluations

Undergraduate students may request a written evaluation of performance in concentration, which will consist of the student's own statement and an evaluation prepared by an appropriate faculty member. The following points may be included in such an evaluation: any special characteristics of the concentration program; information not on the student's official transcript, such as the interest and motivation of the student, the probable capacity for more advanced work, and the ability to conduct research; and a comment describing the bases on which the evaluation was prepared. If the student elects to have a concentration evaluation prepared, a request for evaluation should be submitted to the concentration advisor by the end of the first week of the student's final semester.
