How technology can be used to enhance instruction in higher education is a major area of change and concern for faculty and graduate teaching assistants at Brown. This issue of The Teaching Exchange brings together interviews and articles about applications for instructional technology by faculty and staff members. The articles address subjects such as views on the future of distance education, faculty experience using instructional technology, the use of technology to bring research into the classroom, and student perceptions of instructional technology. We hope these articles continue to inspire discussion and debate among colleagues across campus. Those who wish to respond in print in the next issue of The Teaching Exchange are encouraged to do so!
