Calendar of Events for 2004-2005

This issue of The Teaching Exchange brings together articles on three major topics: interdisciplinary teaching, feminist pedagogy, and professional development in higher education. The "Faculty Forum" hosts ideas by colleagues Beth Anne Zielinsk-Habershaw, Andries van Dam, Bil Johnson and Josef Mittlemann on how to accommodate the diverse preparation of students for learning, considerations about substantive learning, and using the case field study. Arnold Weinstein discusses the experience of teaching an interdisciplinary course combining literature and medicine; Gail Cohee brings us up to date on feminist pedagogy; Rebecca More describes current issues in professional development in higher education; and Charlotte Biltekoff announces the new Summer Mentoring Program for graduate students teaching in Summer Studies.
