STUDENT LEADER CITATION

NOMINATION FORM

Nominations are being accepted for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Student Leader Citations recognize the accomplishments in the context of recognized student organizations. Individuals, groups, or events may be nominated.

Nominations are accepted throughout the year. Recipients are selected each April. Winners are recognized at an end-of-the-year event, and each award carries a $100 prize that is donated to the student group(s) through which the accomplishment was made.

There are nine award categories:

1.  Forming Partnerships - For a great collaborative effort between multiple individuals or groups

2.  Comprehensive Preparation - For Excellent Planning

3.  Innovative Thinking - For a particularly inspired or creative effort

4.  Fostering Understanding - For efforts to increase dialogue and greater appreciation of diversity

5.  Inspiring Action - For activism, awareness, or advocacy

6.  Serving Community - For meaningful, life-changing service in support of communities beyond the Brown campus

7.  Building Tradition - For efforts to bolster or renew Brown traditions, heritage, and spirit

8.  Dramatic Entrance - For a new arrival who made a big splash or created a lot of buzz

9.  Forging Connections - For most effectively engaging and involving alumni.
