Plan for Academic Enrichment
Brown's strategic plan to lead the University into the 21 st century. The Plan for Academic Enrichment calls for significant growth and improvement in the campus to best serve the Brown community.

Strategic Framework
The Strategic Framework for Physical Planning at Brown University was adopted by the Brown Corporation in October 2003 and acts as the primary foundation for campus planning.

The Walk
A major recommendation coming from the Strategic Framework is to improve campus circulation. The Walk is a north/south oriented pedestrian walk planned to connect Lincoln Field and the Pembroke Campus.
Design Guidelines
Created in part by the CPAB in the spring of 2004, these guidelines are sent to designers at the beginning of projects to help them understand the context in which the building design must be developed.

Building Brown
A collaborative effort by Brown's Community Relations and Facilities Management, Building Brown is designed to provide the Brown community and neighbors with frequent updates on major construction projects.

Brown Institutional Master Plan (Spring 06)
A master plan is required of all institutions by the City of Providence every five years to detail major capital projects and traffic management (including parking). Brown submitted its plan in April of 2006 and it was approved in July 2006:

Campus Heritage Initiative
Funded by a grant from the Getty Foundation, Brown had developed a set of guidelines to help in the maintenance and renovation of the University's many historic structures

Dexter Asylum History
The large stone wall surrounding Brown's Erickson Athletic Complex was part of the Dexter Asylum a home for indigents who were former landholders or descendant of landholders in the town of Providence. The Dexter Donation continues to provide funds for the "support and maintenance of the poor".
