The Pool
Brown's swimming complex opened in 1973 as one of the finest faclities in the country. The complex includes swimming and diving facilities and eight squash/handball courts. The pool, built in an "L" shape, can be set up in both short and long course swimming events, with eight seven foot wide lanes. The diving facilities include two one-meter maxi flex boards and two three- meter maxi flex boards. Ideally the pool is designed to allow swimmers and divers to work out at the same time, since the diving boards are located over the 50 meter section of the pool, and are seperated from the 25 yard short couse lanes. The compex also includes a full electronic Colorado timing system with a 10-line, flip digit scoreboard and automatic horn start and strobe light.
