ABOUT THE QUAHOG CLASSIC

The Quahog Classic (QC) was established in the summer of 2008 in an effort to unite intercollegiate intramurals across Rhode Island. Currently the QC consists of five (5) one-day events where each school's top team(s) in their respective sport compete to determine a state champion. Points are tallied and at the end of each QC one school will stand out among the rest and be awarded the Quahog Cup.

The purpose of the Rhode Island Classic is to:

• Promote recreational sports on our college campuses
• Provide extramural competition and social interaction between the schools
• Cultivate the habits of good sportsmanship while providing opportunities for top-level competition
• Facilitate such purposes in an efficient and manageable format
