At Yale Cup this past weekend, Brown posted a 4-3 record. B-Mo lost in the semifinals to eventual champion Williams, who also took one from Brown on Saturday. This weekend is UPA Sectionals at the University of Rhode Island. The schedule on the UPA website is up. As of right now, Brown has 4 pool play games on Saturday starting at 10:35.

The Centex newsletter is up now too! It's worth looking at it just for the 'stache pictures.

We are pleased to announce that Brown Ultimate has officially established an endowment with the university in the name of Mike Franz!! This is an incredible accomplishment and we owe it all to your support and generosity - alumni, family, and friends! Thank you so much! With that said, we are setting a goal of $150,000 for the Mike Franz Memorial Fund by this summer to ensure the endowment starts off on a great first foot.

Yale Cup is this weekend! The schedule on the UPA website is up. As of right now, Brown will have 4 pool play games on Saturday and 4 bracket games on Sunday. Due to the weather, starting times have been pushed back to noon on Saturday, and the website will be updated if further adjustments are made. Brown was scheduled to play Wesleyan first at 9, followed by Vermont at 10:45, Williams at 12:30, and Dartmouth at 4 after a bye. Play on Sunday starts at 8:45.

The weather for this weekend calls for cooler temperatures and wetness, so it should be a typical New England tourney. Hope to see you out there!

Also, photo albums from the Stanford Invite and from Huck-a-Hunk this year are officially up! If you have photos from any tournaments, feel free to send them here so they can get up on the website. Thanks to Rick LeBeau and Kyle Cackett '11 for taking pictures at the Stanford Invite, and thanks to Melissa Olson for taking picutures at Huck-a-Hunk.

The first batch of Stanford Invite pictures are finally up! More are on the way, plus some way back from Huck-a-Hunk this year. If you have any pictures from tournaments you'd like to see up here, please sent them this way!

Also, check out the newsletter from Stanford!

Brown rebounded from a tough Stanford Invite to post a 4-4 record at Centex this past weekend. Brown beat #6 British Columbia to begin the tournament on Saturday and then started Sunday with a win over #4 North Carolina State. Saturday was a grueling 10 hour day, with 5 straight games in the heat. Sunday brought more New England style weather, with the temperature in the 50s and wind.

Three games over the weekend went to universe point: a win against UC-Santa Barbara, a loss to Texas, and a loss to Carleton.

Coincidentally, the 3 games that went to universe point were against the 3 teams Brown also faced at the Stanford Invite. All 3 results this time around were improvements too.

Thanks so much to the friends and family that came out to watch us this weekend! It was great to have you cheering us on and bringing us snacks and drinks to keep our bodies going. Next up is Yale Cup in a week and a half which we'll be ramping up for when we get back from break.

The Centex schedule has just been posted! As of now, Brown is scheduled to play 5 games on Saturday, starting at 8:30. Brown will play Pittsburgh, UCSB, British Columbia, Texas, and North Carolina. For the full up-to-date bracket, check out the UPA's tourney website for Centex.

The results from Stanford are up and a newsletter will be up very soon! Also, there will be pictures put up from Stanford and hopefully from Centex early next week.

B-Mo would like to thank all the alumni, family members, and friends who housed us at Stanford, fed us, came out to the games, supported us, and made the weekend a great one! It was so nice having such a big dinner all together on Saturday night. We couldn't ask for a better B-Mo community!

As of now, Brown is scheduled to play 4 games on Saturday: at 9:00 against Las Positas, at 12:40 against Texas, at 2:30 against Oregon, and at 4:20 against Colorado. In addition, Stanford put up their own website for the tournament, which you can find here. It has a map of where the fields are.

Two weeks until Brownian Motion leaves for the Stanford Invite! Lots of stuff has now been updated for this season, including a full tournament schedule and the new roster.

The website will undergo more changes in the next 2 weeks, with more updates coming.

Also, if anyone has any pictures from Huck-a-Hunk they'd like to share, please shoot me an email. I'd love to put some pictures up and I know there were people who took some.

That's all for now. If there's anyting missing from the website that you'd like to know or anything you think should be added, also feel free to let me know!

Happy New Year!!

To donate to the Mike Franz Memorial Fund, this is the website. Check the box next to "Support the team of your choice" and choose "Michael V. Franz '03 Memorial Fund" from the drop-down list. So far, there has been tremedous progress towards establishing the Franz endowment and every little bit will help us get closer to reaching our goal!

Welcome back! Open practices are about to start up! On Tuesday the 11th, practice will be at Marvel Field from 4:15-7. If you'd like, we'll meet at Soldiers' Arch (on Thayer St by Lincoln Field) at 4 to run down together to Marvel. Then, on Wednesday the 12th, there will be practice from 3-5 at Marvel.

Whether you played in high school or are just an athlete interested in playing, whether you want to play at a highly competitive level or just want a good workout, make sure to come out this week! We'll show you how to play ultimate and we'll have fun. In case you want to head down to Marvel on your own, check out the following directions on how to get there and this map here (follow the dots from the X to the blue 1). See you out there!

Directions from Solider's Arch:
Cross the science quad to Brook St. and take a left. Just after the OMAC, take a right onto Lloyd at the 5-way intersection. Go down the hill and take a left on Elmgrove. Eventually you'll see the Brown Stadium on your left. The JCC is the brick building on your right. The field is on the far side of the JCC, by the street.
