What should I bring?
Bring light and dark shirts, cleats, a disc, and at least one liter of water.
No sunglasses — wear a hat instead.
No cleats?
For new players without cleats, cross-trainers or running/basketball shoes will suffice.
How to get there.
To get to practice, follow these directions from Soldiers' Arch.
See map.
Marvell Field (1)
Cross the science quad to Brook St. and take a left. Just after the OMAC, take a right onto Lloyd at the 5-way intersection.
Go down the hill and take a left on Elmgrove. Eventually will see the Brown Stadium on your left. Marvell Gym is the large old brick
building on your right. The field is on the far side of Marvell Gym, next to the street. Sometimes we use the small field on the Stadium
side of the street (next to the parking lot).
India Point Park (2)
Cross the Science Quad to Brook St. and take a right. Continue on Brook for 10 to 15 blocks and take a left on Wickenden St.
Go down Wickenden until it ends at Gano St.; take a right on Gano. After 3 blocks, Gano ends at the edge of the park.
Gano Street Field (3)
Follow the directions to India Point Park (above), but take a left on Gano St. Continue 2 to 4 blocks. The field is on the right behind some stores
(there is a small parking lot and entrance).
Hope High School (4)
Go up Thayer St. toward Pembroke. Thayer eventually merges with Hope St. Continue one block. Hope High School is the very large brick building on the left.
The fields are behind the school.
Pembroke Field (5)
Cross the science quad to Brook St. and take a left. After a few blocks (before the 5-way intersection), you will see the field on your right.
IM fields (6)
The intramural fields, used mostly during the spring, are behind the OMAC.
Moses Brown (7)
Go up Brook St. and take a right at the 5-way intersection onto Lloyd. Take your first left into the Moses Brown driveway. There are a couple of fields.
One is to the left of the driveway, another is directly behind the buildings, and the football field is behind and to the right of the school buildings.
Finally (and not on the map), the Smith Swim Center is used for pool workouts during late winter.
This building sits adjacent to the OMAC.
