OMAC Fitness Equipment

The Olney-Margolies Athletic Center (OMAC) Fitness Corner includes Free weight, selectorized and cardiovascular equipment. The Fitness Corner includes a total body workout option for all student fac/staff. There is workout circuit that we recommend for a complete body workout, in which we encourage those to work out 3 to 4 times a week with the circuit. The circuit starts with the largest muscles and goes through to the smallest muscles. The circuit can be customized to your body's needs and workout preferences. The circuit is labeled on the machine with a number. Please follow the # sequence just as listed below.

Seated Leg Press

The seated leg press works the quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluteus. The maximum weight is 390 lbs.

The leg curl machine works gluteus and hamstrings, with a max weight of 200 lbs.

The leg extension machine focuses on the  quadriceps, with a max weight of 295 lbs.

Aside from the total body workout circuit there is another additional mini circuit in the fitness corner that can apply to other specific needs and wishes. In the mini circuit there are two upper body machines that can work a variety or muscles, three lower body machines that can do a variety of touch to reach muscles, and three core machines. There is also an arm bike for conditioning the upper body and two multi use stations that can be used for several muscle groups with an adjustable cable and a wide range of motion.

Pectoral Fly/Rear Deltoid

The focus of the pectoral fly/rear deltoid can either be the pectorals and the anterior deltoids or the posterior deltoids and the trapezius. The max weight is 295 lbs.

The assisted dip chin can work either the biceps and anterior deltoids or the triceps, posterior deltoids, and latissimus dorsi. The max weight is 175 lbs.

The multi use machine has a wide range of uses including a pull-up station, two adjustable pulley cables that have a wide range of motion, and a max combined weight of 295 lbs.

Arm Bike

An arm bike that is measured in watts. Allows you to condition your upper body from a seated position or standing. Moving at a rotary motion either at chest level or overhead and can move forward and backwards.

Core machine where weights can be added on top of body weight to increase the intensity of your abdominal workout.

In the fitness corner and through out the facility there are cardio machines. The machines range from bikes, to elliptical’s, steppers, and row machines.

Different from all other elliptical’s and steppers. With the machine you can move the way to want to, by either taking long or short strides, fast or slow, and forward or backward.
