Aquatics Bubble

The last period of open recreation swimming for the temporary pool is Thursday, April 12th from 11am-2pm. The bubble will permanently close at 2pm on Thursday, April 12th.

Completed in December 2007, the Aquatics Bubble is the temporary home for both the Brown Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams and the Men's and Women's Water Polo teams.

The $3.8 million dollar facility will allow these teams to have an on campus home while construction of a new $25 million dollar state-of-the-art swim facility is completed. The pool, which has eight lanes and a maximum occupancy of 100, must be accessed through the OMAC. It is also available for use by the Brown University community.

How do I get to the pool?

What should I bring to the pool?

You must wear your swimsuit, shirt and footwear. It is highly recommended that you bring a towel and layers of clothing as you will be outside for a short period of time between buildings. YOUR BROWN ID WILL BE CHECKED BY THE POOL STAFF AND WILL ALSO BE NEEDED TO RE-ENTER THE OMAC.

Where are the restrooms, showers, etc.?

The facility is just a pool. Restrooms are located in the OMAC behind the fitness corner and in the locker-rooms. Pool users should use the general locker-room in the OMAC to hold their belongings that will not be needed in the pool area. Please lock up your personal belongings daily.
