INDOOR TENNIS COURTS

Brown's indoor tennis courts are located on the 4th floor of
the Paul Bailey Pizzitola Memorial Sports Center, which was officially dedicated in April, 1989, in memory of Paul Bailey Pizzitola '81. The
four tennis courts are housed under a fabric roof, which is made of teflon-coated fiberglass, a translucent matrial.

Use of the Brown Indoor Tennis Courts is restricted to the following affiliations:
BROWN Faculty, Staff, Student or Alumnus
RISD Faculty, Staff, or Student

There are two types of reservations at Brown's Indoor Tennis Courts. To see which reservation type is the best fit for you, please read below and choose a link. |
Flex Reservation
A flex reservation is court time reserved individually on a first come first serve basis

Contract Reservation
A contract reservation is court time booked and guaranteed for the duration of an academic year |

Flex Reservation Rules:
-Courts are $30 for a 1.5 hour block (beginning 1/19)
-There is no charge for students (one reservation limit per 24 hours period, one reservation for every 5 days, no-shows may lose booking rights)
-You may book a court up to 5 days in advance
-No Food or Drink (except for water) in the courts
-Only non-marking shoes (no black soles)
-Make sure you bring your University ID when you arrive for your court time
-Faculty/Staff/Alumni may cancel online or by calling 3-1313 as long as it is more than 24 hrs notice
-Students may cancel anytime
The best way to make a Flex Reservations is via our 24/7 online reservation system. Go to http://www.browntennisreservations.com and click ‘New User'. You will then be asked to submit some basic information, and once approved you will be able to reserve and pay for courts online at your convenience. You may also call 863-1313 to reserve, however, our tennis office hours are limited…the most efficient way to guarantee a court time is via online reservation.
Step-by-Step Online Reservation Guide:
1) Go to our Brown Tennis Reservations website and register as a 'New User' . After your university affiliation has been confirmed you will receive an email with log-in instructions.
2) Once logged in you will see the following screen:

On the left-hand side calendar click the day you wish to reserve (up to 5 days in advance).
4) The specific schedule for that day will then appear. Click the reservation block you would like to book. You can only reserve times in 1.5 hour blocks.
5) Click ‘Next' on the left hand side

Finally, If you are a student, you simply click ‘Book' and your court is reserved.
(one reservation limit per 24 hours, no-shows may lose booking rights)
7) If you are a Faculty/Staff/Alumnus, you also click book as shown above, however your reservation request is only logged (but not booked). You then must click the payment link on the next screen.
This link will take you to Brown's Secure Payment System where once payment is finalized your reservation will be officially booked in the system.
Once payment is received a confirmation email will be sent to you and you are ready to enjoy your court time!

CONTRACT RESERVATION
|
Contract reservations are acquired based on user seniority and a waiting list.
We expect a fair amount of contract time openings for the 2010-2011 academic year. If you are not a current contract user and would like your name put down for contract time for 2010-2011 please email David Longo . We will contact you in early May when time is made available. |
Contract Court Rates for a single weekly 1.5 hour block for 35 Week 2010-2011 Academic Season are as follows:
Faculty/Staff
Mon-Fri $700
Weekend $550
Alumnus
Mon-Fri $950
Weekend $775
* Weekend pricing is lower due to anticipated loss of time for weekend varsity matches

Current Affiliated Contract users (09-10 academic year) may reserve their one preferred court for the 2010-2011 year via online deposit payment
