Baab '18 Finishes Second at Singlehanded Nationals

Lindsey Baab '18 (Saratoga, CA) finished second at the 2014 College Sailing Women's Singlehanded National Championship for the Janet Lutz Trophy, November 8-9, in Bellingham, WA. The event was hosted by the University of Western Washington in a brand new fleet of Laser Radials provided by Laser Performance Sailboats. Baab finished with 17 points in five races, seven points behind three-time National Champion Erika Reineke of Boston College. Just a freshman, Baab's finishes were 1-4-6-3-3 in the 18-boat fleet.

Seven Brown Sailors Named to the 2014 College Sailing All-Academic Team

The 2014 College Sailing All-Academic Team was announced in August 2014 and Brown Sailing was honored with seven sailors on the list, the most of any team in college sailing (Yale and Bowdoin each had five selections). This year’s All-Academic Team is comprised of 10 First Team members, 10 Second Team members and 34 All-Conference members.
