Laney is our absolute favorite RISD kid – well, she is our only RISD kid – but Disco would not be the same without her.  Laney’s motto is “everything is better with zombies.” Strange, yes, but the truth is Laney can make a zombie out of anyone by mesmerizing them with her supernatural frisbee-wielding grace. On the field she is simply fantastical: the super powers of her sticky hand allow her to whip the disc out of the air in a flash, and her hucks seem propelled by some force of magic.  Off the field, her artistic powers are equally astounding.  The sweatshirts she designed for the team are the envy of Urban Outfitters, and they commonly elicit remarks such as “Where can I buy myself one of those?”  We eagerly await new discs and jerseys that will bear her snazzy designs.  Laney aspires to become a designer of sports-themed fabrics, and is an avid fan of the show Project Runway.  With her bouncy pigtails and constant smile, she can cheer up anyone she meets and enforces a positive mentality in the team.
