Our fearless and (in surprising glimpses) ferocious leader Marcie astounds Disco with her ability to smile like a princess while S-cutting like a hawk. In fact, full-body grins flow out of Marcie as naturally as her smooth on-field tosses and solid off-field calls of support. Smacking of horse country and drawn to the solitude of snow activities, Marcie still manages to navigate the inconceivably complicated communicative maze that is Disco captainship.
Her calmly confident leadership and caringly constructive criticisms boost us all to a new level of play; a level one can only label K.A.R.T. Her speed inspires us, her shut-down man-D fires us up, and only in her full-body spandex suits do we feel truly ourselves. Though her thesis, her single class, and family planning keep Marcie fairly busy, she always makes time to listen to, learn from, and help her teammates. She’s not afraid to leave her heart on her sleeve and her soul on the field. I am honored to join Annie Murray as a proud member of the GPMFC.
