Disco Inferno took second place at Easterns, losing to Seaweed (University of North Carolina at Wilmington) in the finals 9-15. It was a tough day- we beat ECU 13-5 in the morning, then beat San Diego by 1 pt in the quarters (14-13), and Swarthmore by 3 pts in the semifinals (10-7). The day before we beat Georgia Tech 13-6, Stanford 13-5, but lost to Carleton 11-8. In the last game of the first day we lost to Tufts by 1pt (9-10). Both Carleton and UGA (who we beat by 1pt at the finals of CCC in the fall) were missing their best player on Sunday, and therefore didn't have strong showings. This tournament made it clear that Brown is definately a top tier team. However, it also made apparent the huge number of great teams that will be vying for the title this year.
