Regionals 2002 Report

Reigning Northeast Regional champions, Disco blasted through their pre-quarter and quarterfinal games on Saturday against Amherst and Wellesley, 15-0 and 15-1. The next day, they met rival Tufts E-Wo in the semifinals. After exchanging points early in the 1st half, Disco picked up steam and dominated to win 15-7. That left them in the finals of Regionals with recent rival MIT. It was an intense battle for the Regional championship, marked by incredible offense and defense from both teams, that Disco eventually lost, 9-15. Disco then rallied back with a decisive win over Yale, 15-4, to secure a 2nd place Regional bid to Nationals.
