The goal of this symposium is to bring together speakers from the applied mechanics, bioengineering and medical community to discuss the latest experimental, theoretical and computational developments in tissue engineering and multicellular structures. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: Cell-matrix interactions at the level of tens to hundreds of cells, cell-cell interactions, and constitutive properties of tissue materials, as well as advanced instrumentation and experimental techniques for biomechanical testing across the micro and millimeter scales, and their potential applications in cellular and tissue engineering.
