September 22--RISD Museum

October 6--Eleazer Arnold House in Lincoln, Rhode Island

On Thursday October 6 the class will meet at the Eleazer Arnold House, a house museum in Lincoln, RI owned by the Historic New England/ the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities. Admission is $3 per student. We will depart by carpool from Faunce Arch at 10:30 for a fifteen-minute ride, as follows:

-Angell Street to North Main Street

-North Main Street to Charles Street

-Enter Rt. 146 near the main post office

-North past Lincoln Woods State Park (with pond, on the right)

-Exit right onto Rt. 123, east

-The Arnold House is about 3 miles down this road on the left, at the junction of Rt. 126

-Park at the Gateway Park just to the west of the house

We will spend some time looking at the exterior of the structure before we tour the interior with George Christie, the educational coordinator for the site.
