Is
your educational background
a must for what you do?
It
is a
must in my position because it enables me to
understand what other scientist are looking for.
What
positions did you hold before your current position (what other
jobs
led you to where you are now)?
I
worked as an Analytical Chemist for 1 year and 2 years in molecular
biology
in a small scale research environment.
What
are your favorite aspects of you job?
What are the drawbacks?
My
favorite aspect is helping people with their job search.
The
drawback
is you can't help everyone.
What
advice do you have for someone who is thinking about pursuing a
career in your area?
Never
take a job unless you feel you can put 100 percent in everyday.
You have to have a passion for what you do.
I think that really applies
to
any position you peruse. Understand
the nature of the position, and
ask
yourself "Can I do this everyday and love it?"
What
do you look for in a potential job candidate/ what qualities are
most
important for someone in your field?
Background
is important. However I
think personality goes along way.
It
is just as important for personalities to fit into job situations as
talent
is.
